'Ello, dear reader. Have you missed me? Well I have missed you, as well as David Yurman news, of which there has been precious little as of late. Still, fall/winter is just around the corner, with the kickoff rooftop soiree, if it is being held this year, coming in July or August. Review: The David Yurman Anvil Collection for Men

I don't want to write this review. I didn't think I would have to, truth be told. I thought Anvil would enjoy fairly quiet release as did the Amulets Collection earlier this year, would flounder in sales, and be routed to the outlets, and that would be that. Instead, earlier this week, David Yurman launched considerable advertising devoted to the collection. Ay. So here we are.

Anvil is for 2017 what Griffin was for 2013. (You remember Griffin, right? I bemoaned it extensively right here on this blog, and then it went away, and life was good.) It is hyper-masculine. It is cool and "edgy." It lacks refinement.

Just in time for Valentine's Day 2017, David Yurman is releasing new cable cuff bracelets from a collection designated DY Whispers—fitting given each of the pieces quietly transmits a message but only to the wearer. Last year, I made the suggestion that David Yurman not just embrace Lunar New Year in marketing but produce a singular themed bauble in celebration. Well, heck to the hey, I got everything I wanted and more this year... sort of.

Yurman's New Supernova Collection Exploding into Boutiques Oct. 12

Teased for a week or so by various industry insiders on social media, David Yurman's new-for-fall-16 Supernova Collection will be blasting into boutiques next week. The pieces are fire-hot but so are their price points. (The necklace pictured below will set you back $6800 USD.)

It's been a good year for the David Yurman women's collections. Early in 2016, the Chatelaine Collection, named and inspired by "the mistress of the Chateau," swept onto the scene with offerings equal parts elegant and vivacious. This summer, the collection will expand to include additional offerings, including this jaw-droppingly glamorous cocktail ring (a variation of which is also pictured above):
